We Provide Three Programs
Literacy TutoringVolunteers work in small groups with students each week on literacy skills using the same structured, phonics-based program teachers use. Students learn letters, sounds and high frequency words which are a foundation for decoding more complex text. This high-dosage tutoring approach is shown to have the biggest impact. We use a modified approach in TK and Kindergarten to best support the youngest students.

Math TutoringVolunteers help students establish a strong foundation and confidence in math through individualized tutoring using math curriculum provided by the classroom teacher. Our program is adapted for both the youngest learners and the older students across elementary school to help students develop essential skills that have a lifelong impact.

Middle School TutoringStarting in the fall of 2025, RCP established and implemented a comprehensive tutoring and mentoring program specifically designed for middle school students who encounter new academic subjects and a growing need to embrace independent learning. Caring, targeted academic support becomes essential for nurturing their continued success and ensuring no student feels left behind.
