Middle School Tutoring

Empowering middle school learners: Starting in the fall of 2025, RCP established and implemented a comprehensive tutoring and mentoring program specifically designed for middle school students within the Ravenswood City School District. As our students bravely navigate the transition from elementary to middle school, they encounter exciting new academic landscapes, more intricate subjects, and a growing need to embrace independent learning. This crucial period is incredibly significant, and providing caring, targeted academic support becomes a beacon of light, essential for nurturing their continued success and ensuring no student feels left behind.

This expanded program was designed hand-in-hand with the district curriculum experts and experienced teachers. Our approach addresses students' unique academic needs, offers warm, individualized reading attention, and cultivates a deep love for learning that will blossom throughout their middle school years and beyond. Ultimately, this will contribute to their long-term academic flourishing, their radiant self-confidence, and their belief in their own bright futures.

Jill Zanolli & Stacie Zell

Jill and Stacie have been longtime RCP leaders and classroom tutors with a shared passion for supporting middle school students. Their years serving on the RCP Board made them uniquely aware of the challenges faced by Ravenswood middle school students and sparked in them an interest in continuing to work with students as they moved from the elementary school campuses to Cesar Chavez Ravenswood Middle School for 6th-8th grade.

Jill and Stacie will bring their wealth of experience as former RCP site directors for Belle Haven School in refining and expanding the new middle school program with a cohort of dedicated classroom volunteers. In addition, their deep knowledge of the Ravenswood School District literacy curriculum will be a valuable asset in their collaboration with the classroom teachers and district curriculum experts as the program is implemented.

Jill and Stacie are excited to make this new chapter for RCP a truly impactful one.
